Call For Papers 2009 International Conference on Mobile Communications and Pervasive Computing (MCPC 2009) 2009 Systemics and Informatics World Network (SIWN 2009) Leipzig, Germany, 23-25 March 2009 http://siwn.org.uk/2009leipzig/MCPC09.htm Mobile communications have remained one of the most vibrant and stimulating areas driving forward the Information and Communications Technology. Quite clear is appearing the tomorrow’s picture of networks and communications, that is, convergence of diversified networks, integration of IP based core network and flexible robust wireless access, self-organization and self-management, on-demand service-oriented architectures, to just mention a few striking characteristics. Pervasive computing is emerging as the next paradigm for distributed and mobile computing through building systems of communicating miniaturized devices, sensors and actuators in which ambient, personalized trustworthy services built out of pervasive infrastructure and information are seamlessly available anywhere, anytime, and in all forms. By embedding ambient intelligence in everyday objects, our workplaces, our homes and even ourselves, pervasive computing and communications will enable a new breed of applications and systems which are composed of massive smart objects to create the environments that underpin a smart world. MCPC 2009 provides a premier forum for researchers and engineers alike to present state-of-the-art research and development progresses in all areas related to architecture, design, implementation, application and evaluation of mobile communications and pervasive computing as these technologies are permeating and integrating into our everyday living and working environments. Important Dates (New) 05 January 2009 Submission of manuscripts 31 January 2009 Notification of acceptance 15 February 2009 Camera-Ready Version (CRV) due 23-25 March 2009 Conferences Submission and Publication Submissions must be original contributions that neither have been published nor have been under review for publication elsewhere. All submissions must be in English and no more than 7 pages in the format specified in the Instructions for Authors, which are available on http://siwn.org.uk/press/ita.htm. To submit a paper, a file in pdf format containing the manuscript of submission must be uploaded to the MCPC 2009 submission website. All manuscripts submitted will be sent to 3-4 members of the International Technical Program Committees of the Conferences for peer reviews and assessed according to the technical merits and presentation, on which the acceptance decision will be based. Accepted papers will be included in the CD-ROM Proceedings of SIWN 2009, which will be available for participants at the Conferences to promote the widest exchange and dissemination at the Conferences. All accepted papers of the conference are invited to publish their revised versions in the international journal <> (CoSIWN) (ISSN 1757-4439) after the conference. Details can be seen on the SIWN 2009 website. Proposals of workshops, invited sessions and tutorials on emerging areas are welcome. Please discuss your proposals with the Technical Program Chair.
